Every child dances
Games, hip hop and music they love mean the shy kids join in too.
Since 2007, Dance Cart has been on a mission to get every Australian primary school student dancing. Not just the confident ones. Every single one.

(01)Our story
That belief is where Dance Cart began. From humble beginnings in 2007, we started as a school-based program helping primary schools around Brisbane implement the new Australian Curriculum.
Our teachers are education specialists with experience in both the classroom and the dance studio. That mix matters: we know how schools run, how teachers plan and assess, and how to make a room full of children want to move.
Today, Dance Cart inspires more than 10,000 students a year. Our online programs reach schools in every corner of the country, remote or metro, large or very small, while our teachers still bring the energy in person to school halls, fete stages and graduation nights.
(02)Then → now
Dance Cart is founded with one simple belief: children achieve something special when they dance together.
Our school-based program helps primary schools around Brisbane bring the new Australian Curriculum to life.
The Online Foundation Program launches, taught on-screen by board-registered teachers so any school can deliver dance.
Online units, in-school terms, fete performances and graduation dances across Australia.

(03)What we believe
Games, hip hop and music they love mean the shy kids join in too.
Lesson plans, rubrics and support so no teacher feels on their own.
Real learning outcomes, mapped to the Australian Curriculum.
If they’re smiling, they’re learning. We make sure they’re smiling.

(04)Meet Amy
Amy Kirwan leads Dance Cart with a teacher’s eye for what works in a real classroom, and a dancer’s instinct for what makes kids light up.
She and the team write every unit, film every lesson and answer every enquiry personally. If you’ve got a question about dance at your school, Amy’s the person to ask.
